Cardi B claims Offset refused to buy Christmas presents for their children
Cardi B and Offset’s divorce has played out publicly and has been a somewhat toxic affair, which continues to escalate. With allegations of cheating made by both of the beloved MCs, at one point, Cardi B took to social media to tell Offset she hopes he gets “hit by a truck.”
That said, she has now come out to air more of the former couple’s dirty laundry and has insinuated that Offset is a deadbeat dad by telling her followers that he didn’t buy their three children anything for Christmas. Furthermore, she suggested that he had done it out of resentment.
On January 14th, Cardi B took to X Spaces to speak with her fans. During her monologue, she shared, “Do you guys know that my kids didn’t receive no Christmas gifts from somebody in particular?” Cardi continued, “Muthaf*ckas want to make it seem on social media like I was keeping my kids away from them, like to make movies on social media, but purposely fly to New York to buy their kids gifts and guess how many kids did they buy my kids? Zero.”
The ‘Bodak Yellow’ rapper insisted that it didn’t phase her and suggested that Offset had done it to dampen her feelings about the entire year, adding, “A muthafucka thought he was gonna ruin my year and have me fucked up like they had me fucked up last year.”
Still, she reassured fans that she is strong and will continue to work hard for her kids. In an introspective speech, she told listeners, “I’m so strong. I’m so fucking strong, and it doesn’t affect me anymore that even after you try to ruin me by being spiteful towards me and my kids, I still got my ass up and went to fucking work.”
However, despite her insistence that Offset’s actions don’t phase her, the Invasion Of Privacy creator proceeded to go on a rant, speaking about how little the former Migos member interacts with his children and how stubborn he has been in the divorce, process, beginning, “You wanna talk about you haven’t accepted the divorce because you’re not gonna be on my terms because you just wanna see the kids.”
She continued, “You wanna see the kids? You just called your daughter for the first time this year yesterday. Your newborn. You love your kids so much, and you ain’t bought them shit for Christmas, but you came to New York to buy your other kids gifts, but you ain’t bought my kids shit on purpose to spite me.”
Late last year, the ‘WAP’ rhymer explained that she has put the breaks on finding and love and is focusing on her work and her kids, telling followers on Instagram, ““I put a little pause on my dating life because January is very, very, very, very important, and I have a mission to complete.”
