Offset breaks silence after being shot in Florida
Offset has broken his silence two weeks after being shot.
The Migos rapper was shot outside a casino in Florida earlier this month and rushed to the hospital.
This week, Offset appeared on the Creators Inc Podcast with Andy Bachman while hooked up to a vitamin IV drip.
He revealed he was shot in the hip and played off the incident, saying that “people get shot every day.”
“You got to keep pushing,” he said. “Like Energizer Bunny, man. Keep this shit pushing. The show don’t ever stop at the end of the day. I was blessed enough to be able to still move. So, I’m still moving.”
He continued, “The grind don’t stop, bro. I don’t want nobody feel sorry for me or no shit like that. Like, I’m blessed. I can keep pushing. So why would I just sit down? I got to keep pushing. I got to keep going.”
The incident took place at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, leaving Offset with non-life-threatening injuries. He received care at the Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood and was released days later.
Offset made an appearance at Coachella following the shooting. He also sent a message to fans, providing an update on his health.
“Thank you to everyone who’s checked in on me and showed me love… I’m good… but I’m planning to be better,” he wrote on Instagram. “I’m focused on my family, my recovery, and getting back to the music… life’s a gamble and I’m still playing to win.”
The Federal Bureau of Investigation in Miami later released photos of the alleged people and vehicles involved in the incident, with the suspects attempting to rob Offset.
