Nicki Minaj risks losing $20 million mansion over assault debt

Nicki Minaj‘s husband, Kenneth Petty, allegedly assaulted a man in 2019 and was ordered to pay a court-ordered fee of over $500,000. However, they have yet to pay him.

Thomas Weidenmüller recently filed court documents that claimed Petty and Minaj have refused to pay him half a million dollars.

As a result, he’s asking the judge to put their property in Hidden Hills, California, up for sale in order for him to secure the money.

“The dwelling is subject to a $13,258,000 mortgage lien and a $722,151 homestead exemption—together just under $14 million,” the documents read, according to Page Six.

They continue, “The property’s current fair market value is appraised at $20 million, yielding approximately $6 million in equity beyond the lien and exemption. That amount is more than sufficient to satisfy the judgment, plus accrued interest and enforcement costs.”

Weidenmüller’s legal team claims the home “would satisfy the entire judgment, with millions to spare,” and that he shouldn’t be waiting this long to receive the money.

“Minaj is a global music superstar, estimated to have a net worth of anywhere between $150-190 million
and is reportedly the highest paid female rap star in the world,” the documents read.

His lawyer added, “There is little doubt that she is highly capable of paying the judgment in full and, yet, she has refused to do so despite multiple written requests for payment and levies served upon several of her suspected creditors. [Weidenmüller] should not have to wait any longer.”

A judge awarded Weidenmüller $503,318 under a default judgment after Petty allegedly broke his jaw and required eight surgeries.

Minaj married Petty in October 2019. They share one child; the name is unknown, but she refers to their son as “Papa Bear.”
