Netflix release Kanye West doc 'Jeen-Yuhs' teaser trailer

Rapper Kanye West’s documentary has been in the making for more than two decades. The three-part project has been purchased for a whopping $30 million and the teaser trailer has now been released by Netflix.

During the TUDUM event, Netflix announced the release of the new documentary, titled Jeen-Yuhs, by unveiling an exclusive clip from the highly-anticipated multi-part film.

Created by Coodie & Chike aka Clarence Simmons and Chike Ozah, the headhunters of Creative Control, this film marks their third collaboration with West after having directed the visuals for West’s ‘Through the Wire’ and the third part of ‘Jesus Walks’. Time Studios will be co-producing the documentary with Creative Control.

The documentary will feature archival footage, domestic videos and more, providing an intimate insight into the life and persona of West, tracing his career trajectory as a rapper while also taking a look at how he evolved as a person.

Although West is not directly involved in the production, he has granted the filmmaker duo to film him. A specific date of release has not yet been announced, the film is set to stream on Netflix somewhere in 2022.

The teaser that was released shows a young West in 2002 rapping away to glory.
