Kanye West pays tribute to late mother in new ‘Donda Chant’ visuals

Kanye West has shared the video for ‘Donda Chant’, the opener from his latest album, Donda.

After months of delays, the LP arrived at the tail end of August and is dedicated to his mother, Donda, who died in 2007 following complications from cosmetic surgery.

Kanye characteristically tinkered with the record tirelessly before eventually sharing it with the world, and it became another Billboard chart-topper.

It’s been an atypical method to release an album with theatrical listening events in Atlanta and Chicago, but that’s just Ye being Ye.

Now, he’s started to share videos from the album, and following the release of ’24’ from last week, West has now taken to social media to release the visualiser for ‘Donda Chant‘.

In the emotional clip filmed at Chicago’s Soldier Field Stadium, we see the replica of his family home, which he rebuilt for the event, and featured photos of his late mother on the property.
