NBA YoungBoy stunts on Jay-Z with net worth brag
NBA YoungBoy is bragging about his net worth after coming across some classic Jay-Z lyrics.
The Baton Rouge rapper is only 26 but has already achieved a lot at a young age, boasting multiple number-one albums and sold-out tours.
In a video posted to Instagram, YoungBoy revealed he recently listened to Hov’s 2001 album, The Blueprint, which made him reflect on his wealth.
“I was listening to Jay-Z’s Blueprint,” he said. “That boy say, I think at 31 years old or some shit, that boy said, ‘You are now looking at at $40 million, n*gga.’ And I was just sitting back thinking to myself, how blessed I am and ahead of the fucking game I am.”
He added, “Boy, you know what you looking at? I ain’t even gon’ pop that, because like this, God will take it from you. So I’ma chill on you.”
YoungBoy is referencing Jay’s verse on ‘U Don’t Know’, which finds him bragging about the money he’s making.
In the first verse, he raps, “I tell you the difference between me and them/ They tryin’ to get they ones, I’m tryin’ to get them M’s/ One million, two million, three million, four/ In just five years, 40 million more/ You are now lookin’ at the 40 million boy/ I’m rapin’ Def Jam ’til I’m the 100 million man.”
The Blueprint was famously released on the same day as the 9/11 attacks. It debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart, selling 427,000 copies in its first week.
YoungBoy is currently on a high after his Make America Slime Again Tour, which took place across North America last year, grossed $70 million.
