NBA YoungBoy plots ‘Make America Slime Again’ album for Independence Day
NBA YoungBoy has announced he’ll release his new album, Make America Slime Again, this week. The project is set to arrive on Independence Day, July 4th, shortly after President Donald Trump pardoned him.
Make America Slime Again is named after the political slogan used by Trump in his campaigns to become president of the United States in 2016 and 2024.
The cover features an American flag, with YoungBoy wearing a green crocheted ski mask. He can also be seen donning a large necklace, a watch, a white glove, and a green belt wrapped around his neck.
Trump pardoned YoungBoy in May, absolving him of his crimes after pleading guilty to possessing weapons as a felon in December.
In a statement, YoungBoy said, “I want to thank President Trump for granting me a pardon and giving me the opportunity to keep building — as a man, as a father, and as an artist. This moment means a lot. It opens the door to a future I’ve worked hard for and I am fully prepared to step into this.”
His lawyer, Drew Findling, added, “I am thrilled for Kentrell that his legal journey has come to a conclusion. From Louisiana to Utah the battles have been endless, and now he can concentrate on first and foremost his family, and then, of course, his amazing career.”
YoungBoy is set to hit the road this year on his Make America Slime Again Tour. The tour will see him perform in Dallas, Austin, Houston, Los Angeles, Oakland, Chicago, Brooklyn, Boston, Philadelphia, Detroit, Miami, Atlanta, Las Vegas, and many other major cities in September, October, and November.
In December, YoungBoy released his last album, I Just Got a Lot on My Shoulders, via Motown Records. It was his first album not to debut in the Billboard 200 top 10, only reaching number 159.
