NBA YoungBoy arrested on gun and drug charges

Louisiana emcee YoungBoy Never Broke Again has recently been arrested in Utah for various accusations, including drug and gun possession, identity fraud, forgery, and more. The rhymer (real name Kentrell Gaulden) has been on house arrest for over a year and has been accused of breaching the conditions of his settlement.

The Baton-Rouge native was detained by the Cache County Sheriff’s Office and booked at the police station at 6:30pm. Law enforcement has accused Gaulden of trying to obtain drugs and has highlighted a pattern of criminal activity.

Last year, Gaulden breached his house arrest, as one condition was he wasn’t allowed to get seen possessing “a narcotic drug or other controlled substance.” According to his legal team, he was experiencing “great anxiety, depression, loss of weight, and sleep” and was feeling “so unhealthy.”

Gaulden was caught violating his house arrest again in February this year for unlawfully possessing “a narcotic drug or other controlled substance.” Gaulden is already facing a federal gun case, and the court date was set for July.

The trial is expected to be pushed back as the plaintiffs attempt to circumvent a Second Amendment ruling from the Supreme Court that the case is in conflict with Gaulden’s “Right to bear arms”.

In November, while he was on house arrest, Complex magazine explained he is the victim of something far larger, professing, “I learned it’s a demonic industry that I chose to be a part of, so it’s like, I accept it. I run with it. But don’t be a dummy at the same time.”

He continued, “You gotta understand, they’re using me as entertainment and this shit becomes self-destruction too. ‘Cause I ain’t an entertainer. You know, some shit can’t be spoke on. Why? Man, ’cause that shit, it’s to be continued.”
