Nappy Roots rapper Big V arrested following drug bust

Nappy Roots rapper Big V has been arrested following a drug bust in Warren County, Kentucky.

The 50-year-old (real name Vito Tisdale) was taken into custody at the Warren County Regional Jail on February 23rd.

According to WKRN News 2, he was charged with trafficking in marijuana (over five pounds) and first-degree controlled substance trafficking (over 10 dose units of hallucinogenic mushrooms).

Both charges included firearm enhancements. He was booked on a $6,000 bond, but has since been released from jail.

Big V’s arrest came as a drug task force seized a large amount of guns, marijuana, and other substances from Vito’s Dispensary on February 23rd. The Warren County Drug Task Force carried out a search warrant at the smoke shop on River Place Avenue after several complaints.

At around 12pm, task force detectives went to the store and discovered Schedule I drugs. They seized 20 pounds of marijuana, 2.2 pounds of hallucinogenic mushrooms, three handguns, and various THC products, including desserts, gummies, pre-rolled marijuana cigarettes, and resin.

The warrant was issued weeks after a detective visited the store for a “controlled purchase” of hallucinogenic mushrooms.
