Mystikal’s relationship with son strained since Louisiana rape sentence

Mystikal has experienced a strained relationship with his son following his rape sentence last week.

The 55-year-old was sentenced to 20 years in prison without the possibility of parole on June 16th after pleading guilty to third-degree rape.

Now, his lawyer, Roy Maughan, has revealed that the rapper’s relationship with his son, Million Tyler, has broken down.

Speaking to TMZ, Maughan said, “Mystikal has reached out to Million to patch things up, but I don’t think that’s happening yet.”

He says that Mystikal loves his son and wants to mend their relationship, but Million is disappointed in his father.

Mystikal allegedly wants to make up for his wrongdoing with his son, his accuser, and others affected by his sentence, “giving people peace” by serving time.

His son recently spoke out about the sentence, but didn’t suggest that their relationship was significantly damaged. However, he was vague in answering when he would go and visit him behind bars.

“You know, I feel bad for the victim, as well as my father,” Million said. “Nobody wins from these situations. It’s hard for both parties, to be honest.” He continued, “The best thing I can say is, it was pretty emotional to see both sides and to see it all unfolding. That’s probably really the best way that I could put it – it was just extremely emotional.”

In a message to his dad at the end of the interview, he said, “I hope you get the help you need. I really hope you do.”

The woman claimed Mystikal choked her, pulled her braids out, punched her, and forcibly raped her. In response, he said, “If I did that to you, I deserve the max sentence.”
