Mystikal’s son breaks silence on 20-year prison sentence in Louisiana

The son of Mystikal has broken his silence after his father was sentenced to 20 years in prison last week.

The New Orleans rapper was handed two decades behind bars after pleading guilty to third-degree rape in an Ascension Parish courtroom in March.

His son, Million Tyler, took part in an interview with TMZ to share his thoughts on the sentencing.

“You know, I feel bad for the victim as well as my father,” he said. “Nobody wins from these situations. It’s hard for both parties, to be honest.”

When asked if he thinks 20 years in prison is fair, he replied, “That would be all in the court’s hands – I don’t think I would really have a place to have too much judgment on them. So, life will be whatever it will be.”

Tyler was then asked to share how he felt when the victim claimed Mystikal choked her, pulled her braids out, punched her, and forcibly raped her.

“The best thing I can say is, it was pretty emotional to see both sides and to see it all unfolding,” he said. “That’s probably really the best way that I could put it – it was just extremely emotional.”

In court, Mystikal addressed the victim’s comments. “If I did that to you, I deserve the max sentence,” the rapper said.

Tyler stated he was familiar with the woman and said it was a lot for them to deal with, creating an array of different emotions. He admitted that the case slowed his music career down, but he’s determined to push himself forward.

He closed out by saying that he intends to visit his father in prison at a later date. In a message to his dad, he said, “I hope you get the help you need. I really hope you do.”
