Model who accused Kanye West of sexual assault breaks down in tears during interview

A model who sued Kanye West for sexual assault has spoken out about the alleged incident in a new interview.

Jennifer An, who competed on America’s Next Top Model in 2009, claims that Ye choked her on the set of La Roux’s video for the ‘In for the Kill’ remix.

During a recent interview with the BBC, An broke down into tears while detailing the alleged events that took place at the video shoot.

“He had me sit in the chair in front of the camera, and I didn’t know what was going to happen,” she said. “I was given no direction. I was just told to sit in this chair, and then playback started, and then all of a sudden he just reaches a hand out and starts choking me, and I’m just not sure what’s happening.”

She continued, “And then he pulled his other hand out and starts choking me with both hands and then starts smearing my makeup all over my face and sticking his hands inside of my mouth, which simulated oral sex. I remember feeling so suffocated, unsure, scared.”

The alleged incident took place in September 2010, with An filing a lawsuit against Kanye in November 2024.

“I remember him looking at me, like really intensely, and licking his lips a lot,” she recalled. “My face was like, so close to his. He reached a point that – I assume – he was very happy with himself, and he yelled something like, ‘This is art! I’m Picasso.’”

In March, An submitted affidavits that included Instagram messages from La Roux. Speaking on the incident, the singer said, “I could never forget that, it was horrific.”

She added, “I have never seen the footage (thankfully) and obviously I asked for it to never be used or for it to be seen as you were understandably very concerned about anyone or your family seeing it. I’m so sorry it happened.”
