Migos' Takeoff has been shot and killed in Houston

Migos rapper Takeoff, whose real name is Kirshnik Khari Ball, has been shot and killed in Houston.

TMZ has confirmed the news of the 28-year-old’s death, and the publication state, “Law enforcement sources, and multiple witnesses, tell us the fatal incident went down shortly after 2:30 AM … that’s when cops got the call for a man shot at a bowling alley called 810 Billiards & Bowling Houston.”

According to reports, Ball was at the venue with his Migos bandmate Quavo, and the pair were playing dice. Allegedly, an altercation broke out, and somebody then proceeded to shoot Takeoff “either in the head or near to his head”. Tragically, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Footage of the aftermath has been given to TMZ, and shows a devastated Quavo yelling for somebody to help his nephew. They also add: “Police tell us 2 other people were shot and were taken to the hospital in private vehicles. It’s unclear what their conditions are. Quavo was not injured.”

Migos shared their debut album, Yung Rich Nation, in 2015, and rose to the mainstream with their hit ‘Bad and Boujee’, which appeared in the first instalment of their Culture trilogy. Both Culture and Culture II topped the charts in the United States.

Earlier this year, the trio split up after Quavo and Takeoff were embroiled in a disagreement with Offset, who allegedly slept with Quavo’s ex-girlfriend Saweetie. In October, Quavo and Takeoff released their first album as a duo, Only Built for Infinity Links, which charted at seven in the United States.
