Metro Boomin sexual assault lawsuit heading to trial after failed mediation

Metro Boomin is heading to trial over sexual assault allegations. A lawsuit was filed against the producer (real name Leland Wayne) in October 2024, accusing him of raping a woman in a Beverly Hills hotel in 2016.

The trial is set to begin on September 23rd, 2025, following an unsuccessful mediation. “The parties mediated in good faith. However, the litigation did not resolve,” the report read. “After the mediation, the parties have continued limited settlement discussions, which have proven unsuccessful.”

Vanessa LeMaistre alleged she became friends with Metro and was invited to his studio several times while she was grieving her nine-month-old son, Kamden.

“When Wayne invited Ms LeMaistre to visit him at recording studios in California, where she lived, she was happy for the opportunity to watch him work,” the lawsuit read. “Because she was passionate about music, but more importantly because music provided an escape from the pain she was in after losing her son.”

It continues, “Devastatingly, however, meeting Wayne resulted in Ms LeMaistre suffering from the second worst thing that ever happened to her – being raped by someone who pretended to be her friend for months.”

On one of the visits to Metro’s studio, she says he gave her a shot of alcohol and half a Xanax bar and woke up unable to move or make any noise, which is when he allegedly raped her. She found out she was pregnant weeks later and claimed it was his baby.

In a statement to Rolling Stone, LeMaistre’s lawyer, Michael J Willemin, said, “When we first filed this case, Mr Wayne’s lawyers predictably claimed that the allegations were false and that he would ‘defend himself in court.’ Since then, as outlined in our recent motion, Mr Wayne has failed to comply with basic discovery obligations and court orders in an apparent effort to avoid accountability for his actions.

“Meanwhile, we and Ms LeMaistre have pushed the case forward aggressively, and, because of that, we are headed towards trial on September 23, 2025. We look forward to holding Mr Wayne accountable in front of a jury of his peers.”

Metro released his new project, A Futuristic Summa, on August 1st with features from Lil Baby, Young Thug, 21 Savage, Future, Gucci Mane, Quavo, 2 Chainz, T.I., and more.
