Metro Boomin accused of sexual assault
Hip hop producer Leland Wayne (known as Metro Boomin) has been sued for sexual assault. A 38-year-old woman, Vanessa LeMaistre, filed the lawsuit containing the allegations. She claims that the producer raped her in his studio in 2016, and LeMaistre alleges that she discovered a few weeks that she was pregnant.
The lawsuit was filed in the Superior Court of California on October 29th. It contains details surrounding the events that allegedly transpired in 2016. LeMaistre claims she was in Las Vegas when she met the producer. It all took place nine months after her son, Kamden, had passed away as a result of a rare disease.
The new legal filing outlines why LeMaistre was excited to meet Wayne and why she quickly accepted his invitation to visit his studio in California. “When Wayne invited Ms LeMaistre to visit him at recording studios in California, where she lived, she was happy for the opportunity to watch him work,” the lawsuit reads, “Because she was passionate about music, but more importantly because music provided an escape from the pain she was in after losing her son.”
It continues, “Devastatingly, however, meeting Wayne resulted in Ms LeMaistre suffering from the second worst thing that ever happened to her – being raped by someone who pretended to be her friend for months.”
LaMaistre visited Wayne’s studio on a few occasions during their friendship, and the incident happened during one of these visits. Upon arrival, she was allegedly given a shot of alcohol and half a Xanax bar, which she took regularly to cope with her anxiety following her son’s passing.
She states that Wayne was upset about a “recent break up or trial separation from his long-term girlfriend.” She alleges she woke up later in the day unable to move or make any noise, which is when Wayne raper her. The lawsuit states specifically that LeMaistre didn’t give her consent.
LeMaistre found out she was pregnant a few weeks after the alleged assault. She claims she knows that the baby is Wayne’s as “She had not had sex with anyone else, so Ms LeMaistre knew that the pregnancy was the result of Wayne raping her.”
Wayne’s lawyer, Lawrence Hinkle II from Sanders Roberts LLP has denied the allegations in a statement. “This is a pure shakedown,” said Hinkle, “These are false accusations. Mr Wayne refused to pay her months ago, and he refuses to pay her now. My Wayne will defend himself in court. He will file a claim for malicious prosecution once he prevails.”
