Megan Thee Stallion has recently been in Europe to support her former collaborator and fellow Houston counterpart Beyoncé on her Renaissance world tour. However, while in Italy, the emcee was spotted getting extremely close to Belgian soccer player Romelu Lukaku at a function they were both attending in Lombardy.
The pair both attended the wedding of Italian soccer star Lautaro Martinez in Lake Como, Italy, but photos and footage from the event give the impression that the two are more than friends. The rapper (real name Megan Pete) can be seen cuddling up with the 30-year-old sportsman and even holding hands with him.
Furthermore, on April 30th, the ‘Savage’ emcee was spotted at an Inter Milan match in which Lukaku was playing. Many have queries as to where the two met. However, several media outlets have highlighted that both individuals are signed to Jay-Z’s Roc Nation management.
Wearing a platinum diamond necklace and a highly revealing gold dress, Pete and Lukaku spent most of the event on a balcony at each other’s sides and wrapped their arms around one another on more than one occasion. Megan has been in an official relationship with poet and songwriter Pardison Fontaine since 2020.
However, many now believe they have split. Earlier this year, rumours suggested there were issues and shortly after, allegations that Pete unfollowed Pardi on Instagram were made. Earlier this month, Fontaine took to Instagram and shared a poem dedicated to Megan.
The lengthy poem, which he also performed at Da Poetry Lounge in Los Angeles, heard Fontaine rhyme, “You’re a survivor but not a victim, somewhere in between ‘God forgive him’ and ‘I gotta get him / That’s why you don’t ever let these b*tches get you out your rhythm / You treat these n*ggas like they’re buy one get one / You out here working to keep your mind off hurting.”
However, this obviously didn’t move the rapper. Evidence of their relationship has been wiped from both parties’ Instagram accounts. Although Lukaku and Pete have been seen getting close, many still question the narrative. Some assert they are just friends, and many have highlighted the fact that Lukaku is based in Europe while Pete is based in the US, so a relationship is highly unlikely.
