Megan Thee Stallion releases new album ‘Traumatize’

After teasing a new release, Megan Thee Stallion has now officially dropped a new album, entitled Traumatize. The album is out now and features guest appearances from Rico Nasty, Jhene Aiko, Pooh Sheisty and Key Glock.

The new album – the follow-up to 2020’s debut album Good News – features the single that the Houston Rapper dropped in the spring, ‘Plan B’ and also features Dua Lipa (on ‘Sweetest Pie’) and Future (on ‘Pressurelicious’).

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Megan Thee Stallion said, “I want to take you through so many different emotions. At first you was twerking, now you might be crying. I just always want people to remember, ‘Yes, Megan Thee Stallion, she was great, she was a rapper. She was one of the best rappers, the coldest.’”

Megan Thee Stallion recorded the album at Criteria Studios in North Miami and worked with the acclaimed producer Murda Beatz on the track ‘Gift & a Curse’. Traumatize comes after Something for Thee Hotties, which was released last year and featured the single ‘Thot Shit’.

Good News, Megan’s debut studio album came back in 2020 and featured guest appearances from the likes of SZA, Lil Durk and City Girls. Traumatize arrives during the ongoing legal case concerning Megan Thee Stallion’s disputes with 1501 Certified Entertainment over whether she has been able to fulfil her contract with them.

Megan Thee Stallion was awarded with a key to the city of her hometown, Houston and was honoured with celebrations in the city. She used the opportunity to speak out against the overturning of Roe vs. Wade.

Last night, Megan marked the release of her album when co-hosting on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. She joined in during the ‘Thank You Notes’ sections and set flame to some candles as they “like to get lit.”
