The rapper Megan Thee Stallion described as “unapologetically himself”

Megan Thee Stallion is always unapologetically herself, so it’s no surprise that she gravitates to people with the same principles. The Houston rapper has been a trailblazer in hip-hop for half a decade, dominating the charts with hit singles like ‘Hot Girl Summer’, ‘Savage’, ‘Body’, and ‘Hiss’. She does things by her own rules, which is something she sees in a fellow rapper she’s collaborated with.

In 2022, Megan released her second studio album, Traumazine, debuting at number four on the Billboard 200. The project featured the likes of Latto, Poosh Shiesty, Rico Nasty, Jhené Aiko, Dua Lipa, Key Glock, and Sauce Walka. Another high-profile guest, Future, appeared on an explicit track called ‘Pressurelicious’.

The trap song finds Megan rapping about being a confident woman, bragging about her physical assets and material things. As for Future, he raps about booking private jets and spending whatever it takes to be with the woman he desires, while going into detail about sexual acts.

In the song, he spits, “If it’s worth it, I’m booking a jet/ If it’s worth it, I’m spending a check/ I done broke out a sweat tryna put the whole thing in your chest/ When we fuckin’, we makin’ a mess, yes/ Back stroke, left stroke, deep stroke, your throat/ Slow stroke, shawty know that’s a go.”

Future’s ability to feel at ease on a record and not care about what anyone thinks is precisely why she recruited him in the first place. The Atlanta rapper, who reportedly has eight children from different women, is often in the headlines, but that doesn’t stop him from speaking his mind in his lyrics. During an interview with Rolling Stone, Megan praised him, acknowledging the boldness of his words.

“He just so fucking ratchet!” she said. “He is unapologetically himself. I appreciate that about anybody who gets up and has to do anything in the public eye. Anybody who has to read about their life online every day and deal with so many energies and can put it out into their music and do it gracefully, I feel like you deserve your flowers.”

Future rapped about Megan Thee Stallion on ‘Type Shit’, a track that appeared on his and Metro Boomin’s 2024 collaborative album, We Don’t Trust You. He compliments Megan’s looks and claims he can easily attract women of her calibre.

He raps in the chorus, “I don’t hang with rats, that’s some new type shit/ Get a n*gga whacked on the news type shit/ Sippin’ drank and Actavis on some Screw type shit/ Just a sad ho runnin’ through the crew type shit/ I got a bad bitch at home, voodoo type shit/ Take down Megan Stallions by the group type shit.”

While many thought it could be a diss, Megan acknowledged the lyric positively in a post on her Instagram Stories. Showing off her body with a gym selfie, she wrote, “That’s some thick shit,” co-signing Future’s sentiment about having a full figure. Needless to say, if they work together for a second time, expect another raunchy subject matter.
