Megan Thee Stallion opens up on her friendship with Dua Lipa

Megan Thee Stallion has opened up about her friendship with Dua Lipa and said they share an “unspoken bond”.

The pair worked together earlier this year on the hit single, ‘Sweetest Pie’, and have since grown close. In a new interview with Vogue, Megan has admitted she didn’t immediately know if they would get on, but, Dua made her feel at ease.

“When somebody is so gorgeous and established, you don’t know what to expect,” she explained. “A lot of ladies can be divas. But Dua is just so nice. She felt like a familiar spirit. We have an unspoken bond, it’s not even anything we need to discuss.”

She added: “Sometimes people get the wrong idea about me, too. But once you meet me, you’re like, ‘Oh! This is my homegirl.’”

Talk about a collaboration between the pair began last June when Megan celebrated the work of the English singer and called her music “so fire”. In response, Lipa posted” “I love you @TheeStallion LET’S GET IT!!!!”

Meanwhile, Houston recently confirmed that May 2nd will officially be known as ‘Megan Thee Stallion Day’. The ceremony took place earlier this month in which the rapper was honoured by Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner and members of the Houston City Council.

The event celebrated her philanthropic achievements, including the Pete and Thomas Foundation in 2021, which is dedicated to her late parents.
