Megan Thee Stallion, Elton John and Miley Cyrus will appear on Lil Nas X album

Lil Nas X has revealed the esteemed group of artists that will feature on his debut album, Montero.

He announced the list of tracks and collaborations in a brief clip he shared on social media, which features a CGI model of the rapper who falls from the sky into the album artwork. At the end of the clip, it reveals that alongside Jack Harlow, who appeared on ‘Industry Baby’, Montero will also welcome Megan Thee Stallion, Elton John, Miley Cyrus, and Doja Cat.

In response, a fan criticised him for not having a single collaboration with a Black male artist on the album, to which Lil Nas X replied: “Maybe a lot of them just don’t wanna work with me”.

Kid Cudi then reassured Nas that he’d “frolic in rose gardens w u singin about my pain”. A collaboration between the two now looks in the offing as Nas X replied, “U heard it here first everybody. Kid Cudi x Lil Nas for ‘Montero’ deluxe”.

Earlier this week, the singer shared the cover for his debut, and Nas says the artwork was influenced by John Stephens’ piece ‘Genesis II’. Commenting on the image, Nas says: “Thus the heavens and the earth were completed in all their vast array. By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work.”

Furthermore, he recently said about the record: “Creating this album has been therapy for me. I’ve learned to let go of trying to control people’s perceptions of who I am, what I can do, and where I will be. I’ve realized the only opinion of me that really matters is my own.”
