Megan Thee Stallion took to the stage at the Billboard Music Awards 2022 last night to perform ‘Plan B’ and ‘Sweetest Pie’.
It was a night to remember for Megan, who was crowned as the ‘Top Rap Female Artist’, earlier at the ceremony. The event took place at the world-famous MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, which was hosted by Diddy and included a performance from Travis Scott.
Stallion’s performance began with her playing solo, but, eventually, dancers joined her on-stage for the set. She’d already accepted her award during the pre-show live stream on Tik Tok before she arrived on-stage, and the medley was a rousing way to celebrate.
Other artists who had a positive evening include Olivia Rodrigo, and Kanye West, who both won six awards each. Meanwhile, The Weeknd had the most nominations with 17, and Doja was second with 14. She was also named ‘Top R&B Artist’.
Additionally, Houston recently confirmed that May 2nd will officially be known as ‘Megan Thee Stallion Day’. The ceremony took place earlier this month in which the rapper was honoured by Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner and members of the Houston City Council.
The event celebrated her philanthropic achievements, including the Pete and Thomas Foundation in 2021, which is dedicated to her late parents.
