Meek Mill begs for help amid claims police are targeting him

Meek Mill has blasted police officers for allegedly targeting him over guns despite having licenses in the majority of states.

The Philly rapper took to X (formerly known as Twitter) on November 5th to request licenses in the final few states in order to put his legal worries behind him.

“Just thinking about how the cops blitz me for a firearm,” he wrote. “I got firearm license in like 40+ states … I also be with people that’s license to carry in nyc … somebody help me get my license in all states so I can remove that stuff from even chasing me to mess my life up.”

Meek’s message arrived following a post on November 1st, in which he revealed he was detained outside a nightclub by New York City police.

“They just pulled me out the car and cuffed me in front of the whole club embarrassed the shit out of me in nyc!” he said. “I’m not scared to go outside without a gun … they had guns in my face for no reason smh I thought it was a prank.” Then, in a separate post, he added, “They tryna get me.”

TMZ reported that officers stopped three men at around 4am after receiving reports of a man with a gun in his car. However, no weapon was found, and all three men were released.

Meek has battled with legal issues through much of his life. Speaking on being arrested for illegal gun possession in 2007, he once told The Guardian, “I was carrying a gun because I felt I needed it to survive. Even if you put me back in that situation right now, I’d still carry that gun. People like me die on a daily basis.”
