Macy’s accused of covering up Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs sex attack
As fresh allegations continue to come in the direction of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, it has been alleged that the retail chain Macy’s sought to cover up one of Combs’ alleged misdeeds in order to maintain their business relationship with the mogul.
The lawsuit, filed under the pseudonym John Doe, alleges that three of Combs’ security guards physically attacked him in the stockroom of a Macy’s in New York City. The lawsuit claims that he was pistol-whipped before the Bad Boy founder asserted, “Suck my d**k, Ecko.” It is alleged he was then forced to provide oral sex.
This incident allegedly happened in a Macy’s establishment. As such, the lawsuit asserts that Doe reported the incident to security and human resources at the store. However, he later alleges that Macy’s didn’t follow up with him and claims he was later barred from the store.
As per the lawsuit obtained by Business Insider, after the alleged incident, “Combs began passing out merchandise to an adoring crowd as if nothing had happened.” Concerning follow-up, it claims, “Approximately three weeks later, Terry Lundgren, CEO of Macy’s, pressured Ecko Unltd. executives to fire plaintiff because Macy’s had just signed a multi-million-dollar deal with Sean John Clothing.”
John Doe claims in the lawsuit that he “believes that the report of the assault was destroyed or otherwise purged from Macy’s records, and no action was ever taken as a result of the report.”
Tony Buzbee, on behalf of the alleged victim, filed this lawsuit, and the lawyer held a press conference following it. However, Combs’ lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, responded to the statement given by Buzbee, telling The Independent, “The press conference and 1-800 number that preceded today’s barrage of filings were clear attempts to garner publicity. Mr Combs and his legal team have full confidence in the facts, their legal defences, and the integrity of the judicial process. In court, the truth will prevail: that Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted anyone—adult or minor, man or woman.”
Combs is currently being held in Brooklyn at the Metropolitan Detention Centre, which is where he will stay until his trial which is set to take place in May, 2025. The rapper was taken to the facility following his arrest in New York last month for sex trafficking and racketeering. Combs plans to plead not guilty to the criminal charges facing him and denies all accusation of wrongdoing.
