Lizzo fiercely called out by Candace Owens

Pop singer Lizzo has been in the headlines recently but for all the wrong reasons. From assault to sexual harassment, the vocalist’s dancers have been outspoken about her behaviour. However, now the Conservative political commentator Candace Owens has decided to address the ‘About Damn Time’ singer.

Candace Owens is known for not holding back and always speaking her mind. That said, during a recent appearance on The Joe Budden Show, Owens spoke out about Lizzo’s conduct and highlighted what she considers “problematic” behaviour.

Lizzo is a large lady, and many claim that she does things for attention and that she is a poor role model for young ladies. In this vein, Owens expressed her disdain for Lizzo’s actions, stating, “I don’t like the game that people play where they do something that is so obviously outrageous, like, you know, Lizzo in a thong shaking your ass cheeks.”

In this conversation, Owens referred to a 2019 shock horror moment when the Minnesota singer attended a Los Angeles Lakers NBA game in an outfit that exposed her fishnet tights and thong. Furthermore, she decided to start twerking for the jumbotron.

Owens expressed her outrage, exclaiming, “This is a. Disgusting, A. Perverted, and B. people take their kids to the games. Is there no space that’s safe? And then [Lizzo’s] like, ‘If you don’t like it, that’s your problem.’ Like no, you are being problematic.”

She continued, “And now you’re playing the game where you do something outrageous, and then, when we outrage, you pretend that we’re the crazy ones. I’m not dealing with that. Stop gaslighting me, okay?”

Lizzo is still embroiled in a sexual harassment legal case that her former backup singers brought forward in late 2022. Lizzo’s attorneys recently failed to get the motion dismissed.
