Travis Scott has shared two brand new surprise singles, ‘Escape Plan’ and ‘Mafia’.
The pair of tracks arrive as Scott’s first solo songs of 2021, even though he has previously jumped on Baby Keem’s ‘Durag Activity’ and also popping up on a killer remix of ‘Buss It’ by Erica Banks. Now, Travis is back, and it feels good to have him on the scene again.
It’s now been over three years since he released his third album, Astroworld, and it remains unknown whether these new releases are part of a wider project or just a one-off.
However, this summer, the rapper premiered ‘Escape Plan’ during his headline set at Rolling Loud festival in Miami, and now it’s got an official release. He opened his set with his new song from the top of a raised structure, and the Florida crowd lapped up the theatrical performance.
‘Escape Plan’ is the catchier and more vibrant out of the pair of tracks, with ‘Mafia’ having an air of darkness surrounding them, which sees the rapper display once more that he’s a dynamic talent.
