Former Young Thug associate Lil Woody injured in Atlanta motorcycle crash

Lil Woody was reportedly injured in a crash over the weekend. According to reports, the Atlanta rapper (real name Kenneth Copeland) was involved in a motorcycle incident in his hometown on August 31st.

Footage surfaced on social media of Woody lying in the road on Peters Street. Emergency services were called by onlookers, while a wrecked motorcycle was spotted nearby.

According to Fox 5 Atlanta, witnesses said he was either struck while riding or lost control of the motorcycle.

Woody posted a video from a hospital bed. In the clip, he said, “God going to protect those that do the work of the Lord. No matter what goes on, pray, ask for forgiveness. God will come through and protect you at all cost even in the time of pain.”

The 29-year-old was a witness in the YSL RICO case, which resulted in Young Thug’s release from prison in October 2024. Thug accepted a plea deal in the case and was sentenced to time served and 15 years of probation.

His former associate, Woody, was held in contempt after failing to provide evidence against the rapper during the trial. He invoked his Fifth Amendment right and refused to testify against Thug.

He was arrested for failing to comply with his previously agreed immunity deal following a felony arrest in 2021.

Woody later apologised to Thug for lying in his confessions. “The police kept locking me up for whatever they could,” he said. “Every time I come out the door, the police was on me, and they keep bringing up Thug’s name.

“So what I did was to get ’em off me. I said, ‘Thug did this. Thug did that. Thug,’ because I knew they were… I knew he didn’t do it.”
