Lil Wayne joins up with Run The Jewels on remix of ‘Ooh La La’

Lil Wayne has become an honorary member of Run The Jewels for their new remix of ‘Ooh La La’.

The original recording of the track appeared on 2020’s RTJ4, and the Lil Wayne mix features on the deluxe edition of the record, which drops today. It’s one of the three remixes which RTJ have enlisted on the extended version of the LP.

Elsewhere, it includes What So Not’s remix of ‘JU$T’, which Killer Mike and El-P created with Pharrell Williams along with Rage Against The Machine’s Zack De La Rocha. Additionally, there’s also room for Royal Blood’s ‘Royal Jewels remix’ of ‘The Ground Below’.

Furthermore, the duo have also shared instrumental versions of its original 11 tracks, plus their track for the ill-fated video game Cyberpunk 2077, ‘No Save Point’.

On his characteristically confusing verse on ‘Ooh La La’, Wayne spits, “She like sushi and opera but her coochie, What’s a goon to a goblin? What’s a shooter to a shotta? I can boom shakalaka your mendula oblongata, Killer Mike and El-P, kill a mic, DJ Premier, it’s my world premiere tonight.”
