Lil Wayne discusses his legendary run of features in 2007 during interview with Missy Elliott

In 2007, Lil Wayne was the most in-demand figure in the hip-hop world, and carried out over 100 features in a calendar year.

In a new interview with Missy Elliott, Lil Wayne reflected upon that moment in time, and said it was “amazing”. He explained during his appearance on TV One’s Uncensored with Missy: “That was real. That was an amazing moment and an amazing time. I remember being able to get into my car and turn on the radio. I don’t care if I got the station wrong, could’ve switched to a pop station by mistake, I’m still on that motherf*cker!”

Missy said of Lil Wayne’s prolific achievement: “That’s unheard of. You have to have been raking in the dough, I was only acknowledged for 77 of them. I don’t even think there was another artist playing on the radio, dang.”

Earlier this year, Weezy boldly claimed he was a batter rapper than Jay-Z. The revelation came during an interview with Apple Music presenter Zane Lowe to promote his new album, Tha Carter VI.

The rapper had a bone to pick about a recent rapper ranking from Billboard, which has been doing the rounds online in recent weeks, and he was fuming to be merely placed at seventh. In his mind, he should be placed as number one, but instead, that position belongs to Jay-Z.
