Lil Uzi Vert says $24 million diamond was ripped out of his forehead

Rapper Lil Uzi Vert claims that a $24 million (£17.6 million) diamond was snatched from his forehead after the crowd surfed at Miami’s Rolling Loud Festival in July.

When the rapper was spotted without his notorious gemstone lodge in his head by a TMZ reporter, he was asked where it was and he replied: “I had a show at Rolling Loud and I jumped into the crowd and they kind of ripped it out.”

Back in February, the rapper had the pink diamond pierced into his forehead and it has since been a highly notable element of his look after he began paying instalments for the gem in 2017.

Lil Uzi Vert had actually removed the stone from his forehead earlier this year after it began to cause bleeding, however, he had it re-pierced prior to the Rolling Loud show.

It is currently unclear whether the rapper plans to have the diamond reattached or if the incident has given him second thoughts about parading around with $24 million dangling from his forehead, considering he was very lucky to recover it this time over.

He is, however, no stranger to bombastic purchases. According to Grimes, Lil Uzi Vert is in the market for an entire planet, and if successful in his bid, it would make him the first human to legally own a planet, in what is being described by many as a potentially disastrous misstep in the history of our species.
