Lil Uzi Vert lashes out at Rolling Loud California

Philadelphia rapper Lil Uzi Vert recently lashed out at the organisers of the Rolling Loud festival for their line-up, which included him, as he asserts he never agreed to perform at the event. Taking to social media, the emcee (real name Symere Woods) called out the organisers, questioning why he had been named as one of the headliners.

Taking to Instagram, Woods wrote, “I never said I was doing Rolling Loud. Don’t understand why my name is on here.” The festival is set to occur in March next year. Besides Lil Uzi Vert, Nicki Minaj and Post Malone were also headlining the event.

Woods tagged the festival’s official page in the caption of his Instagram post. Rolling Loud has yet to clarify whether or not Lil Uzi Vert will be performing following this debacle.

Lil Uzi Vert has performed at multiple Rolling Loud festivals, including the 2020 Rolling Loud Miami as well as Rolling Loud California 2023 and the debut edition of Rolling Loud Thailand this year.

The California festival is scheduled for March 15th to 17th at the Hollywood Park Grounds in Inglewood in Los Angeles. The line-up also includes big names such as YG, Tyga, Party Next Door, Rae Sremmurd, Lil Tecca, Summer Walker, Big Sean, and Flo Milli.

Woods Pink tape, which he released earlier this received a lot of backlash, may be an integral part of why he is hesitant to perform at this Year’s Rolling Loud California, as many of his fans despised his album.

The Pink Tape was released in June and featured guest appearances from Travis Scott, Nicki Minaj, Bring Me the Horizon and others. It included the 2022 single ‘Just Wanna Rock’ and a cover of System of a Down’s 2001 song ‘Chop Suey!’
