Lil Pump is being sued for an alleged assault
Lil Pump has been surrounded by controversy constantly lately, whether it’s due to his endorsement of Donald Trump or involvement in violent altercations. Now, Pump has been accused of attacking a man during a livestream.
The rapper is being sued by Edwin Valenzuela for assault following an alleged incident last month. The livestream took place on August 12th and Valenzuela is suing the rapper, alleging that he was beaten up during the recording.
The lawsuit states that Lil Pump and Vitaly Zdorovetskiy were filming a series called Catching Predators. The premise of the show is that alleged paedophiles are tracked down and then forced to do humiliating tasks and pranks.
Valenzuela states he was an Uber driver who picked up the rapper ahead of filming an episode of Catching Predators. Upon arrival, the two started to abuse him, falsely saying that he talked to minors, reading fake messages and then forcing him to take part in their show.
Valenzuela protested, saying that he hadn’t been talking to minors, but he then stated that Lil Pump and Vitaly began beating him up. The lawsuit states that he was kicked in the head and stomach, forcing him to fall to the ground. Valenzuela also alleges that Lil Pump and Vitaly forced him to eat a condom.
A barrage of threats allegedly followed as it’s claimed that the rapper threatened to feed the Uber driver to alligators. The lawsuit states that the “plaintiff was bombarded by verbal abuse, including racial slurs,” and he had the “defendants screaming in his face. All while being urged by an attorney to sign a release for a ‘gameshow’.”
The official charges that are being brought forward against Lil Pump include civil conspiracy, false imprisonment, battery and civil theft. Valenzuela is also seeking unspecified damages.
This isn’t the first time that the Catching Predators show has come under controversy. Legal action has been taken on the program in the past, as SportsKeeda reported that Vitaly was sued by a man who said that he had also been falsely imprisoned and called a predator during a taping of the show.
The show has also taken legal action against some of its guests in the past, as well. The YouTube star threatened to sue Migos rapper Offset previously when he failed to show up to a recording of the programme.
This isn’t the first time that Lil Pump has been involved in controversy, as he often delivers divisive political and ethical statements; however, these are some of the most serious accusations brought against the rapper recently.
