Joe Budden laments Lil Pump’s Donald Trump support

For several months, former rapper turned media personality Joe Budden has been clashing with Lil Pump. The most recent issue revolved around the latter’s support for Donald Trump in the upcoming US election.

On August 14th, Lil Pump posted a Tweet that revealed he would be releasing a track in support of the potential president, ditching his initial idea to write a song in protest against Trump’s opponent, Kamala Harris.

He wrote, “not dropping a diss song. I know some ppl wanted it but it would hurt what we are fighting for which is to get President Trump in office. Can’t stoop down to the liberals level. IM DROPPING A PRO TRUMP SONG WITH THE SUPPORT OF THE TRUMP TEAM!! YES THIS IS BIG!! MAGA.”

Lil Pump accompanied his controversial post with an image of him wearing a red ‘Make America Great Again’ hat. Budden was not impressed with Pump’s antics, hitting out at him in a clip from The Joe Budden Podcast.

Budden said: “I still don’t know why he’s a thing. Why is he a thing? Like, the internet be making people things, and then it be 10, 15 years and I still don’t know why people … I don’t know the song, the movie. I just think of a shit stain. A white shit stain. I’ve never seen him not look shit stain-ish.”

Lil Pump rose to prominence in 2017 when he released the song ‘Gucci Gang’. It managed to peak at number three on the Billboard Hot 100 and became a viral sensation. From there, he began collaborating with many successful rappers, including Kanye West, releasing the song ‘I Love It’ with him – which was accompanied by a music video that became a massive meme.

Pump has also collaborated with the likes of Lil Wayne and French Montana. His most recent album, Lil Pump 2, was released back in 2023, which performed terribly. He has since been engaging in the world of cryptocurrency.

Pump endorsed Trump in 2020 and is hoping he’ll win the election again. In fact, he’s stated that he’ll leave America if Harris wins. He wrote on Instagram: “I swear on my dad’s grave, if this stupid-ass bitch Kamala Harris wins the fucking election, I’m moving out of America, boy. I swear on everything.”
