Lil Nas X trolls Drake over 'Certified Lover Boy'

Lil Nas X hasn’t been able to resist taking a tongue-in-cheek shot at Drake over his artwork for Certified Lover Boy.

The Canadian confirmed the album after he cryptically hinted at the release during an unusual clip that took over ESPN’s Sports Center that appeared to ensure Certified Lover Boy will arrive next week. The video showed a man holding a sign that read: “CLB September 3”.

Then Drizzy confirmed the album by taking to Instagram to share emojis of multiple pregnant women and captioned the post, “CERTIFIED LOVER BOY SEPTEMBER 3”.

In retaliation, Lil Nas X decided to post an image of multiple emojis of pregnant men rather than women. He hilariously wrote underneath the post, “‘MONTERO’ THE ALBUM OUT SEPTEMBER 17, 2021”.

Nas X has previous for poking fun at Drake’s artwork when he told fans he had an “update” about his debut album. He said that it would be called, Nothing Was The Same, which Drake called his first album in 2013. Furthermore, he photoshopped himself onto the album cover.

Meanwhile, the singer stated last week that Montero would drop on September 17th, and he’s also shared a brand-new trailer for the release, which features an unheard track.

“Creating this album has been therapy for me,” Lil Nas X tweeted. “I’ve learned to let go of trying to control people’s perception of who I am, what I can do, and where I will be. I’ve realized the only opinion of me that really matters is my own.”
