Lil Nas X has told fans that his new album is “close to finished”.
Nas made his comeback to social media after previously going on a hiatus since December and returned to ask his followers if they want to hear new music. He shared screenshots of two songs, one titled ‘Late To The Party’ featuring NBA YoungBoy, while the other is called ‘Down Souf Hoes’ and features Saucy Santana, which he captioned, “which one y’all want first?”
He also teased fans with a snippet of new music and asked, “Who y’all think i should get on this?” Furthermore, when a fan asked if the album was done, Nas X said it was “close to finished”.
Earlier this year, Lil Nas X spoke to CBS about coming out as gay in 2019 and spoke about LGBTQ+ people not being accepted in hip-hop communities or country circles.
Nas X had just broken through following the success of ‘Old Town Road’ and said it was “the most authentic time” to be honest about his sexuality. He added: “It’s like, I’m not doing it for attention. I’m already like the number one artist in the world right now.”
He continued: “There was definitely some fear there. There’s always gonna be fear when you’re doing something that’s literally life-changing. But you just have to do it, you know?”
