Although Cardi B has been known to get herself embroiled in spats with other artists, including her recent ones with the likes of Akbar V and JT of City Girls, she is also supported by many in the world of rap. It was revealed earlier in the week on a new episode of Rap City by Lil’ Kim that she is very close to Cardi B, so much so that she considers the ‘Up’ singer to be like a little sister.
Discussing Cardi with the host of the show, Big Tigger, Lil’ Kim said: “Cardi is like the love of my life, y’all don’t even know. We talk a lot. People have no idea. … She’s my little sister but she’s really my big little sister. It’s facts.”
This isn’t the first time that Lil’ Kim has gushed about Cardi B. Speaking to Entertainment Tonight back in 2018, she was asked about Cardi B and Nicki Minaj, saying: “You know, Cardi is my girl! I don’t know the other one”.
Clearly a big fan of the ‘Bodak Yellow’ singer, she continued: “But Cardi is my girl and so I’m so excited for my girl Cardi. I can’t wait for her to have the baby. I love you, Cardi!”
These new words of support come after Cardi found herself in Twitter arguments with Akbar V and JT. Interestingly, Minaj weighed into the debate by posting a clip of JT rapping her part on her hit single ‘Super Freaky Girl’. Then, Minaj later changed her profile picture on Twitter to a photograph of JT, with Cardi responding by changing hers to Remy Ma, one of Minaj’s biggest rivals.
