Lil Jon’s son has been reported missing in Georgia
The son of rapper and record producer Lil Jon has been reported missing in Georgia.
The Milton Police Department announced that DJ Young Slade (real name Nathan Smith) had gone missing on February 3rd.
The missing person report states the 27-year-old was last seen in the vicinity of Baldwin Drive and Mayfield Road in Milton.
Slade reportedly ran out of his house on foot and has been missing since. He doesn’t have a phone and “may be disoriented and in need of assistance,” with family and friends concerned for his safety.
According to Rough Draft Atlanta, Slade was possibly naked and carried no belongings when he left his home. He’s described as 5’9″ and 150 pounds with short black hair, with a tattoo of lips on his right collarbone.
Police were spotted searching the nearby Mayfield Lake, but it’s unclear whether it was related to his disappearance.
Slade’s last Instagram post was on January 6th, in which he showed love to Bow Wow after meeting him.
“The first album my mom ever bought me was Beware of Dog,” he wrote. “My cousin @id_fine_beauty had me watching @shadmoss Wow videos nonstop, trying to get my C walk right. Nothing shaped my childhood like 106 & Park and this was Mr. 106 himself.”
He added, “Anyone who says Lil Bow Wow wasn’t the biggest thing on the planet either wasn’t there or they’re just hating. One of the greatest live performers ever. Period.”
His father, Jon, is a key figure in bringing crunk to the mainstream. As part of Lil Jon and the East Side Boyz, he released hit singles such as ‘Get Low’ with the Ying Yang Twins and ‘Lovers and Friends’ with Usher and Ludacris.
