Lil Jon issues statement about missing son
Rapper Lil Jon has spoken out following his son’s disappearance earlier this week.
DJ Young Slade (real name Nathan Smith) was reported missing on February 3rd in Milton, Georgia.
The 27-year-old left his home on foot at 6am and may require help, according to the missing person report.
In a statement to the People, Jon addressed Slade going missing through a representative.
“The family is asking for privacy at this time,” the message said. “We are also asking for continued prayers for Nathan to come home safe. Thank you.”
Slade is described as 5’9″ and 150 pounds with short black hair, with a tattoo of lips on his right collarbone. He may have been naked at the time he left the house and left without any of his possessions.
“Nathan Smith was last seen in the vicinity of Baldwin Dr/Mayfield Rd in Milton on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 @ 0600 hours,” the report read. “Subject ran out of his house and has been missing since. Subject left on foot and does not possess a phone. He may be disoriented and in need of assistance. Family and friends are concerned for his safety.”
It added, “Please contact the non-emergency dispatch line @ 678-297-6300 option 1 if his whereabouts are known.”
During an appearance on MTV’s Family Legacy in 2025, Slade opened up about growing up with Jon as a father.
“It’s dope to appreciate my dad, show respect, and just look at all the things he’s done, and it’s nice to get the torch passed down and do my own thing,” he said. “Because it’s like it comes from him, but also I’m definitely taking it and making it my own.”
