Lil Durk could face additional charges in murder-for-hire case
Lil Durk is facing the possibility of further charges in his murder-for-hire case.
The Chicago rapper is behind bars after being accused of conspiring with others to murder Quando Rondo, resulting in the death of his cousin, Lul Pab.
He’s charged with one count of conspiracy and one count of use of interstate facilities to commit murder-for-hire resulting in death.
Durk is also charged with one count of using, carrying, and discharging firearms and a machine gun and possession of such firearms in furtherance of a crime of violence resulting in death.
However, a new court filing has revealed that prosecutors are considering even more charges before his trial.
Documents read, “On May 13, 2026, the government informed defence counsel that it is considering seeking supplemental charges that would charge the Chicago 2022 incident and an incident from 2019 in Atlanta as direct evidence in this case.”
Durk was arrested in Broward County, Florida, on October 24th, 2024. He’s currently detained at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Los Angeles, California.
His trial is scheduled for August 2026 after being pushed back on several occasions. The addition of more charges could delay it once again.
In March, Durk gave an update on how he’s doing in prison and revealed what’s motivating him. “I just want to give y’all an update on my mental, my mind state,” he said. “I’ve just been reading these books, working on my patience.”
He continued, “It’s just been sitting on my heart lately to save the generation, bro. Save these kids. I’m just tired of being a pawn for the culture. Entertaining and being ignorant. I want to change the world around to being positive.”
