Lil Baby returns with new album ‘It’s Only Me’

Lil Baby is back with a bang, two years on from his last record, with his latest album It’s Only Me. He’ll be hoping that the new collection of tracks is able to score him yet another Grammy.

The hip hop sensation has certainly put his all into the outing. It’s Only Me boasts a whopping 23 songs and sees him team up with fellow stars Future, Young Thug, Nardo Wick, Pooh Shiesty and more.

On the production side of things, he enlisted Murda Beatz, Wheezy, and Tay Keith. Clearly, he billed them with the old big beat manifesto: Big beats are the best. Along with their help, the record is stacked with huge sounds.

Speaking about the record, Lil Baby told The Experience Podcast: “I ain’t dropped an album in like two years, so some of the songs are old, some of them are new. Kinda different vibes, I went through a lot in two years, ups and downs.”

He’s put those ups and downs into his tunes with the tracks seeming to be largely autobiographical. This makes for perhaps his most honest album to date. Whether or not it can match the wild success of My Turnremains to be seen.
