Lawyer claims Diddy’s celebrity friends are secretly settling lawsuits

Lawyer Tony Buzbee is highly involved in the barrage of allegations facing Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs and responsible for representing more than 100 plaintiffs who are set to file lawsuits against the Bad Boy founder.

That said, the legal expert recently asserted that he allegedly knows, through his first-hand experience, that A-list celebrities linked to Diddy are settling lawsuits behind the scenes due to their involvement in some of the alleged illegal activity carried out by Combs.

The Texas-based attorney has alleged that these celebrities are purposefully settling out of court so that their names are not named in impending lawsuits and has suggested that hip-hop artists are giving out cash settlements in droves to protect their careers. Buzbee insinuated that in most cases, the A-listers helped the mogul cover up alleged crimes.

While speaking with media outlet TMZ, Buzbee stated, “If you were attending one of these parties if you will, and you attended before, or you knew what was going to happen.”

He continued, “You knew that a particular drug was being used in drinks that was causing people to be coerced and taken advantage of — and you were there in the room, or you participated, or you watched it happen and didn’t say anything, or you helped cover it up, in my view, you have a problem.”

However, the use of legal tactics and loopholes is part of the job, according to Buzbee. His job is to protect the welfare of his clients. No names have been mentioned at this stage.

Detailing how he is being forensic with every case to pin down the unnamed celebrities, Buzbee explained, “In every single case, especially cases like this, we collect our data, collect our evidence, do our due diligence and spend time with the victim.”

The Texas native then unveiled that due to the trauma involved, many of his clients ask for the matter to be handled out of court, adding, “Then because it’s in the best interest of the victim, we attempt to resolve these matters without the filing of a public lawsuit, and we have done that already. We’ve done that with a handful of individuals, many of which you’ve heard of before, and we’ll continue to do that.”

Buzbee claimed the alleged abuse began as early as 1991, with reported incidents continuing into 2024. The victims of Combs are allegedly scattered across the US in states including California, Florida, Georgia and New York.

As of yet, he’s yet to officially file the cases. However, Diddy has denied the charges of sex trafficking and racketeering which he’s currently facing. At this stage, he’s being held on bail and is yet to discover when his trial is set to begin.
