Latto sparks $100k eBay bidding war after listing ‘used’ underwear

The rapper Latto has listed a pair of her used underwear on eBay, which has led to a massive bidding war amongst her fans, with the price reaching nearly $100k. The Atlanta rapper’s pants were the target of criticism last weekend when one scrutinous Twitter user pointed the finger at Latto wearing the same cheetah print thong in two different photos.

Latto responded by saying, “Oh no, it’s the panty police.” She followed up on Monday (January 30th) by giving behind-the-scenes footage of her underwear drawer and revealing her plans to wear a pair of underwear that day so she could sell them tomorrow.

“In light of my panty discrepancy yesterday, I’ve decided to give you guys an inside look on my panty drawer,” Latto said while looking through her drawer in an Instagram Stories video. “These are all my Target panties that caused such a discrepancy yesterday. $5 at Target, here’s the cheetah stash.”

Following the video, Latto shared a link to the eBay auction of her cheetah print pants, with the bidding starting at just $0.99. The item description on the site reads, “Latto’s everyday cheetah print panties. Used. As seen on Latto multiple times.” After just a few hours, the price had reached tens of thousands of dollars, eventually reaching $95,650.

However, Latto will not be receiving the money, as eBay decided to remove the listing as it violated their company policies. When asked about the pants, the eBay Customer Service Twitter page responded, “Used underwear is not allowed on site please report any listings you see in breach of policy.”

As of yet, Latto has not reacted to her listing being removed from eBay, although she did make a joke prior to them being taken down, saying that they smelt like “Frappuccino,” referencing Kodak Black’s insulting nickname for her.
