Las Vegas rapper arrested for violating sex trafficking probation
Las Vegas rapper/producer Mally Mall has been arrested.
The musician, known for his collaborations with the likes of Wiz Khalifa, Pusha T, and French Montana, was taken into custody on June 16th.
According to KLAS 8 News Now, Mall (real name Jamal Rashid) is accused of violating his probation. He allegedly tampered with a witness and communicated with another woman with whom he was prohibited from having any contact.
Mall was sentenced to 33 months in prison in May 2021 after pleading guilty to one count of use of an interstate facility in aid of unlawful activity. He admitted to prostitution through the running of escort services in Clark County and was hit with three years of supervised release.
In the warrant for his arrest, Mall is accused of asking fellow Jazz Lazr to offer cash to a woman for her not to attend his scheduled revocation hearing. He also allegedly asked her to sign paperwork to state that she was never trafficked and to never discuss her involvement with Mall.
Mall is also accused of speaking to another woman he was prohibited from having contact with, with his probation officer claiming they may even be in a relationship.
His supervised release began on July 14th, 2023, and was scheduled to run out on September 17th, 2026. However, it’s unclear whether the date will remain.
Mall has over four million followers on Instagram. His biggest album, Mally’s World, Vol. 1, was released in 2017 with features from Migos, Quavo, Tyga, YG, Jeremih, and many others.
‘Wake Up in It’ has over nine million streams on Spotify, with ‘Drop Bands on It’ also boasting four million streams.
