Kurupt hospitalised with serious health issues
Kurupt is currently in the hospital while experiencing some serious health issues.
The legendary rapper, who formed Tha Dogg Pound in 1992, has spent the past few weeks in the hospital battling an unknown illness.
TMZ confirmed the news on January 13th but was unable to reveal any specifics regarding his medical condition. However, sources told them that his condition was improving.
The report came shortly after fellow Dogg Pound member Daz Dillinger sent well wishes to Kurupt on January 12th, asking fans to show love to him.
“GOD SAID WE SHALL LIVE & NOT DIE,” he wrote. “Want to send a big shout out to my big brother @official_kurupt get well speedy recovery need all FANZ to send kurupt a get well message flood his Instagram tell him how much we love him.”
He continued, “Rest in peace to my cousin Joe, cool Nate Dogg and others that we lost so I need everybody to hit kurupt and let them know that we love HIM from his little brother Daz life is serious shout out to @leelee_calinanita for holding it down, Dogg Pound gangstaZ 4 LIFE GOD 1st.”
Kurupt’s last Instagram post was on January 2nd, in which he shared an old photo of Kendrick Lamar. In the caption, he wrote, “HAPPYNEWYEARS Ta tha #WESTCOAST ta All…… This how we bring n tha New Year wit #KENDRICK and Family…… 2026 @deathrowrecords.”
The 53-year-old released his debut solo album, Kuruption!, on Death Row in 1998. It reached number eight on the Billboard 200 chart.
His last album, Tha Dogg Pound’s W.A.W.G. (We All We Got), was released in 2024. It served as their first project on Death Row since Dogg Food in 1995.
