Kendrick Lamar to feature on DJ Dahi’s new album
Kendrick Lamar will appear on DJ Dahi’s upcoming album.
The Compton rapper has been confirmed as a guest on the producer’s debut project, which is set to be released this year.
Dahi took to Instagram on July 8th to reveal the complete list of features for his currently untitled album.
Other artists on the project include Vince Staples, Channel Tres, Moses Sumney, Mez, Amber Mark, Childish Gambino, Obongjayar, Kurtis Wells, Jesse Boykins III, Baby Rose, Ant Clemons, Fousheé, Elmiene, Ravyn Lenae and French Anthony.
Speaking on the project, Dahi said, “Big announcement coming soon. It’s been years in the making. Really excited for you to hear what we’ve been cooking up. Stay close.”
So far, he’s released two singles titled ‘Rest of Your Life’ and ‘Find Me’ under his own label, Dahi Music Productions.
Kendrick has collaborated with Dahi many times in the past. The producer most recently worked on ‘Wacced Out Murals’ from his last album, GNX, which was released in 2024.
He also contributed to ‘Die Hard’, ‘Father Time’, ‘Rich Spirit’, ‘Count Me Out’, and ‘Mirror’ from 2022’s Mr Morale and the Big Steppers.
Before that, he produced five songs on 2017’s DAMN album: ‘Yah’, ‘Loyalty’, ‘Lust’, ‘XXX’, and ‘God’. During an interview with Rolling Stone, he explained how he and Kendrick connected.
“Kendrick and I pretty much talk every day, just about life in general,” he said. “What both our life experiences are and what we have been up to. We always ask each other things like what you’re doing, what are you working on, or what are you listening to – that kind of vibe. So we are always in communication about where things are culturally, where things are musically.”
