Kendrick Lamar fan disses DDG on podcast for his love of Drake

Streamer and rapper DDG has been a big Drake supporter and vocal defender of him since his beef with Kendrick Lamar. The emcee has a deep connection with Drake’s music. DDG has shown his love for the Scorpion creator multiple times on his stream and has defended him when people have dissed him.

During a live stream earlier this year, the Pontiac native admitted that he would never turn on Drizzy, stating, “I could never switch up on Drake as a fan, bruh even if he did something to me personally. I just couldn’t. I grew up listening to the man. I’ve been bumping his music since I was a kid.” He added, “I’m a loyal-ass fan. If I like your stuff, I’m with it forever.”

During an appearance on the Mani Petty podcast with Kayce and Tori Kirihara, DDG sang Drake’s praises, declaring, “I think Drake is the best artist alive. Not even being biased. Just as a listener, Drake’s gone platinum across every genre. Nobody else is doing that.”

His support of Drake has received considerable backlash, as many Kendrick fans are angry that he continues to defend a loser as a public figure and emcee. DDG received most of the online hate during the height of Kendrick and Drake’s beef. That said, it has already been a year since the release of ‘6:16 in LA,’ ‘Family Matters,’ and ‘Meet the Grahams.’

DDG has not only spoken about his love for Drake on the Mani Petty podcast but also on Angela Yee’s Way Up podcast. One clip from the latter has circulated on social media, which sees DDG taking phone calls from the viewing public, one of which was from a Kendrick fan. While speaking with DDG, the fan stated, “Don’t judge me, but I want to say that I really don’t like OVO and DDG, you a lame because you be hating on Kendrick. I’m out.”

All he and Yee could do was laugh about it afterwards. But he did clarify that he doesn’t dislike Lamar, he just likes Drake more. In response, DDG simply replied, “That’s funny.”
