Kendrick Lamar’s reaction to Drake’s ‘Family Matters’ has been revealed

Kendrick Lamar’s beef with Drake has ended. However, fans recently found out how the West Coast native reacted to Drake’s diss track ‘Family Matters’ following an interview with one of his closest friends.

Kendrick Lamar’s first response to Drake was the release of ‘Euphoria,’ which was quickly followed up by ‘6:16 In LA.’ After the latter, the Scorpion lyricist dropped ‘Family Matters,’ which accused Lamar of colourism and domestic violence.

With rhymes such as “Say you hate the girls I f*ck, but what you really mean? / I been with Black and white and everything that’s in between / You the Black messiah wifin’ up a mixed queen / And hit vanilla cream to help out with your self-esteem.” Drake’s scathing lyrics about race were somewhat controversial.

Lamar quickly replied to the track with ‘Meet The Grahams’. A scathing diss track that labels the ‘In My Feelings’ artist as a deadbeat father who allegedly employs sex offenders and allegedly is one himself.

During an appearance on The Bootleg Kev podcast, Jason Martin, who was in contact with Lamar throughout the beef, spoke about the Compton native’s reaction to ‘Family Matters’.

Martin expressed that, from the text exchanges he had with Lamar during the beef, he knows that the West Coast native was utterly unbothered by the diss track and, in under 24 hours, had recorded and released ‘Meet The Grahams’.

During his interview with Bootleg Kev, Martin expressed that, although he likes Drake’s music, he can’t compete with Lamar. Furthermore, he believes Drake simply didn’t understand the kind of skilled, tactical emcee he was going up against.

Considering how the beef ended, it is evident to many that Kendrick outsmarted Drizzy the whole way through. That said, Drake has released a series of tracks, such as ‘U MY EVERYTHING’ and ‘Wah Gwan Delilah’ that are being heavily criticised by fans and critics alike.
