Katt Williams doubles down on Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs comments by calling him a “demon”
Comedian Katt Williams has labelled Sean ‘Diddy‘ Combs a “demon” after previously making derogatory remarks about him earlier this year.
Combs is currently incarcerated at the Metropolitan Detention Centre in Brooklyn following his arrest on September 16th. Subsequently, he was charged with sex trafficking and racketeering, with a criminal trial scheduled to take place in May 2025. He is set to plead not guilty to all charges and denies any wrongdoing.
Allegations began to emerge regarding Combs in 2023 when his ex-partner, Cassie Ventura, submitted a lawsuit against the rapper. However, Ventura reached a settlement with Combs just one day after the filing.
Before Combs was arrested or subject to a criminal investigation, Williams distanced himself from the music mogul.
During a previous interview with Shannon Sharpe in January, Williams claimed that he turned down invitations from Combs to attend the Bad Boy founder’s parties. His reasoning was that he felt uncomfortable with the alleged gay sex that he claimed occurred at the gatherings.
He told the former NFL player on the Club Shay Shay podcast: “I gotta protect my integrity and that virgin hole I was telling you about ’cause P. Diddy be wanting to party and you gotta tell him no.”
Now, in a new interview with GQ, Williams provided context behind his comments and explained why he had a longstanding issue with Combs, which relates to his love of Tupac Shakur. He said: “When I was a young man, Tupac was my favourite artist. I loved Tupac. And I felt like we were kindred spirits.”
Williams added: “So if I hear you responsible for knocking my n-gga off, I don’t give a fuck what job I end up being in, I don’t care how things go, if I can get a way to get you, that’s what I’m all about. I just don’t like you walking around scot-free.”
Combs has been subject to speculation regarding his involvement in the death of Shakur, but these rumours are unfounded. The producer previously denied any involvement with the killing to the Los Angeles Times in 2008. However, Tupac’s brother, Mopreme, recently demanded a new investigation into the case.
Furthermore, Williams also said to GQ of Combs: “‘Cause you a demon, and I know demons are powerful, but I know why they’re powerful… It’s cold spiritual warfare going on out here in the real world. And part of my job is to not lose focus on that.”
Meanwhile, Combs appeared in a New York court on November 22nd in a bid to secure bail. He’s previously had this request rejected on multiple occasions and will discover the fate of his latest appeal next week.
