Kanye West’s new album ‘Donda 2’ isn't eligible for Billboard charts

Kanye West’s hopes for another chart-topping album with Donda 2 have been crushed after it was revealed to be ineligible for the Billboard charts.

Following the listening event in Miami on February 22nd, Ye made the songs’ Security’, ‘Pablo’, ‘Broken Road’ and ‘We Did It Kid’ exclusively available on his Stem Player device. Two days later, he followed this up by adding another 12-songs to the platform, but his unique release method goes against Billboard’s rules.

As Ye is only selling his record through his Stem Player as part of a merchandise bundle, this makes it ineligible for chart inclusion by Billboard.

Meanwhile, Kanye recently defended his decision to kidnap, bury alive, and decapitate a claymate version of Pete Davidson in the video for his new track, ‘Eazy’.

After Ye is seen bringing Davidson to a brutal demise in the visuals, a card reads at the end of the video: “Everyone lived happily ever after, except Skete you know who – JK he’s fine”.

West has now said: “Art is therapy just like this view. Art is protected as freedom of speech. Art inspires and simplifies the world. Art is not a proxy for any ill or ham. Any suggestion otherwise about my art is false and mal intended.”
