Kanye West's Donda academy shuts as his career crumbles

Kanye West’s Donda Academy is now set for permanent closure as the rapper becomes blacklisted in the music and fashion industry. For over a month now, West has been on a rampage, and it doesn’t look like it’s about to stop anytime soon. From Instagram posts to tweets, live streams and interviews across various platforms, West has burnt every bridge he ever had.

After a string of racist and antisemitic outbursts, the rapper is now partaking in interviews with right-wing news anchors, including the likes of Carlson Tucker, Chris Cuomo and most recently, Piers Morgan, even going as far to call Joe Biden “A fucking retard!” on the latter’s show, Uncensored With Piers Morgan.

The rapper has since appeared on the Lex Freidman podcast and has made it very clear that he will not back down with regard to his stance concerning the Jewish community. The rapper and former billionaire has lost all of his endorsements and taken himself from billionaire status to a multi-millionaire status in the space of three days.

West’s former partners, Balenciaga, Adidas and GAP, quickly severed ties with the rapper after his infamous Drink Champs, which is now no longer available to watch, and several celebrities have condemned his behaviour, including his ex-wife Kim Kardashian.

As well as being stripped of all his social media accounts, the rapper has received backlash from companies that he does not even have endorsements with as they show solidarity with the Jewish community who Kanye has so deeply offended. Footlocker has stopped selling Yeezy trainers, and Madame Tussauds waxwork museum even chose to remove his waxwork to show their inability to glorify or revere West in any shape or form by showcasing his waxwork.

The rapper’s $15,000-a-year academy sent an email to parents providing one day’s notice, the email read that they would be halting their operations temporarily amidst the media firestorm that West has created. The email sent out to parents read, “At the discretion of our founder, Donda Academy will close for the remainder of the 2022-2023 school year effective immediately, we intend to begin afresh in September of 2023.”

Now Kanye is on the blacklist, it looks like the industry and powers that be intend to syphon every source of income the rapper has until he apologises, shows remorse and retracts his statements. But until then, his cash flow and assets will continue to drop like flies.
