Kanye West shares plan to eradicate homelessness in Los Angeles

Kanye West has revealed his admirable plans to rid Los Angeles of homelessness. The city is plagued by cases of homelessness and, despite being one of the most affluent cities in the world, has never quite got on top of things.

TMZ report that Ye recently spoke with Reverend Troy Vaughn, CEO of homeless charity LA Mission, and told him four ways to fight the problem.

West has been providing food to homeless people alongside numerous charities in the district, which is at the heart of his proposal. However, the artist also wants to help educate those unfortunate enough to find themselves on the streets. Additionally, Ye plots to mobilise his own companies to help them search for work and housing.

Furthermore, West plans to use his platform and Sunday Service to shine a light on the homelessness problem in the city. His last idea is for groups to come together with a communal goal to help homeless people.

The rapper handed 1000 meals to LA Mission last week, who aim they “break the cycle of homelessness and poverty, by stabilising people in a safe and spiritual environment, connecting them to solutions and walking with them on their journey.”

Meanwhile, during his latest Sunday Service, Kanye performed a cover of Adele’s ‘Easy On Me’ in memory of his creative partner, Virgil Abloh.

Abloh practised architecture at the Illinois Institute of Technology, and during his studies, he began to write about fashion for The Brilliance. Then a chance meeting with Kanye West at the t-shirt store he worked at in Chicago would prove to be life-changing.

Virgil was later appointed as the artistic director of the rapper’s Watch The Throne project and was also made the creative lead of Ye’s agency, Donda. Abloh also created the cover art for 808s & Heartbreak, Yeezus, and My Beautiful Twisted Dark Fantasy.
